Tips:
Enjoy FAST sort with XSM 
- You can download XSM on as many platforms and machines as you wish. If you register for trial, product will run for 30 days ; If you don't register, product will prompt you to press 'ENTER' each time you run it. Registration is free and takes 2 minutes.
- Please read Install documentation and our comprehensive
User Guide including a set of examples using various
sort / merge / deduplicate operations on various input file formats.
For a start, just copy / paste / adapt these examples to fit your needs.
Nota: XSM is a professional sort. You should read the documentation to make the most of its features and performances. - Windows Users: now you have a 'Setup.exe', lucky you!! but still you must read the User documentation. There is also a zip file for quick version upgrade: it contains only program, no doc, no samples.
- UNIX Users: download the XSM package to your box, then:
$ cd /tmp $ gzip -d package.tar.gz $ tar xvf package.tar $ cd package

$ more README.txt
##### For highly stressed folks who can't wait: #####
$ ./hhnsinst_version ./hxsm_version (change version with 691 for instance)
$ cd samples
$ ./demo.sh

These are older versions of XSM.
To use only if you have compatibility troubles when using last stable release of XSM. (that might happen if you are using certain old versions of system libs, such as old glibc).
Otherwise you are strongly advised to use lastest stable release.
Please check XSM CHANGELOG to ensure the old version you wish to use does not contain severe bugs.
